Dr. Freeman, author, poet, scholar, minister, and instructor at Mercer for the past twelve years, has made invaluable contributions to the university: not only by virtue of his instruction, but by his human understanding anti encouragement which he extends to all with whom he comes in contact. Upon his resigning the chair of Christianity and Philosophy, where he has served with such distinction, Mercer loses one of its most respected and beloved faculty members. I le was precise and efficient in his dealings, gaining the respect of all his transactors.
