From north from south from east from west , . , they come—to join in Mercer s student throng And the 193$ Cauldron. by presenting a study of student life, attempts to lay bare the resulting panorama. The effort lo portray vividly the teeming a tivcncss of the University campus is responsible for noticeable digression from rime worn lay- outs and arrangements. In the case of the classes, for instance the staff saw fit to begin with the freshmen and take the tour groups chronolo- gically thus giving to the graduating class an added dignity achieved through the presentation of a picture of the activity experienced by its members during their stay at Alma Mater The 1938 Cauldron dedicates itself largely to the cause of recreating for the graduating student what he has seen and done while at Mercer The staff hopes that in future years the senior of this year may be able to relive his entire college life by beginning with the first page and reading to the last in his 1938 Cauldron . . .
