While the Atlanta Falcons and the rest of the NFL were temporar- ily shut down due to the players' strike, MercerfAtlanta students and faculty occupied their free time with some football of their own. Flag football is part of the Intramu- ral Sports Program which satisfies the students' need for entertainment as well as competition. Each person participating in the program decid- ed which team he or she wanted to be a member of. The teams, includ- ing the Sasquatches, the Rono- saurus, the Studasaurus, the Tera- dactyls, the Sleestacks, and the Faculty team, competed after classes and on weekends with little interference with their studies. Fac- ulty and student team members alike had a good time with as many laughs as bruises and sore muscles.
