I5-1 The Asparagus Club is an organi- zation designed to provide students with opportunities for having fun to- gether by exploring the resources of the city. Outings are planned every quarter to attend plays, movies, and concerts. ffl' .415 l The Mercer University Atlanta Accounting Association, under the leadership of Paula Satcher and Chandler Russell, is one of the few campus organizations geared to- wards professional people. The pur- pose of this club is to expose its members to opportunities in the ac- counting field, in both public and private practice. In April of each year, the Association holds its annu- al Accounting Association Banquet.

Women in Communications, Inc. is a professional organization pro- viding support and assistance to women entering the field of commu- nications. WICI, the largest profes- sional organization for women in the US, maintains 190 professional and student chapters in the state of Georgia alone. The Mercer chapter participates in the WICI Day-On- the-Job program, which provides students with the opportunity of ob- serving women in positions of pro- fessional responsibility on a daily basis. Beta Omicron, Mercer's chapter of Kappa Delta Epsilon, is a society for Education majors. Under the di- rection of faculty advisor Virginia Nelms, Beta Omicron strives to de- velop among its members teaching skills and ideals and actively en- courages constructive participation in solving the various problems re- lated to education. Members are also urged to join in professional community and campus service. The Pre-MedfPre-Dental Club of MUA is sponsored by Dr. Mi- chael Finnerty. Club activities af- ford members the opportunity to hear speakers and participate in ac- tivities related to their chosen pro- fessions.
