MAKING THE PIECES FIT I Each year the Yearbook staff honors the persons whom it feels has influenced its members the most by dedicating the yearbook to them. Rarely, however, have these persons been as involved in every aspect of student life as these instructors. Both teachers stand out at Mercer due to their never ending devotion to helping students. With deep affection and lasting respect the Yearbook staff proudly dedicates the Raider 1986 to: Ms. Susan Ethridge and Mrs. Zelene Foster 4.14 v Ms. Ethridge is a seventh grade Social Studies teacher. She is a very active person in both the school and extra curriculum activities. Ms. Ethridge is p resently serving as the advisor for the Model United Na- tions. In addition, she has advised the Student Advisory Council and she is involved in many other school activities. But what makes Ms. Ethridge stand out from the other teachers is her willingness to take part in every aspect of the school from dressing-up as a witch to being a friend to her students. Mrs. Zeline Foster is the PECE director. She has also taught En- glish. Mrs. Foster has been instru- mental in having many honors brought to Mercer. Her PECE students have often been featured in the Savannah News-Press as well as on local television stations. This dedicated, dynamic and will- ing teacher has also served as advisor to the YAC Club. In addi- tion, she has assisted in the plan- ning of the eighth grade prom activities. Mrs. Foster stands out from the other teachers because of her enduring devotion and integri- ty.
