Varsity Club uHow much am I bid for this beautiful hunk of man, echoed through the mushroom at the Varsity Club's an- nual pledge slave sale. H31 . . . 32, sold was the reply. The slaves were to be under their master's jurisdiction for one day. They ended up doing such jobs as washing cars, carrying books and other slave-like tasks. All the proceeds from the sale went to the Foreign Exchange program. Varsity Club performs various needed jobs such as man- ning the gates and entrances at athletic events, and setting up needed equipment at track and other events during the season. Requirements for admission to the club were a Varsity letter in any of the school's athletic events, and surviving the strenuous pledge initiation. Mr. Bob Corcoran, adviser, president ,lim Logan, vice- president Bruce Carpenter, and secretary-treasurer John Donohue presided over the meetings and insured that the club ran smoothly. arsity, Boys' Clubs

Brunner. perform Valuable tasks during school events Boys' Service Club Boys' Service Club was dedicated to service within the school. During basketball and football events at the school the members of the club could be seen directing traffic in the school parking lot or cleaning the stands after the event was over. The club met once every two weeks, meet- ings were conducted by president Jeff Cook, vice president Frank Close and secretary-treasurer Nelsen Spickard. The activities the club sponsored were varied, among these was the annual Boys' Club - Girls' Club Dance which was held in the middle of the year. Mr. Herbert Stimson, adviser, was asked what went on at the meetings. He replied, Hchaosf' Mounted on the mushroom were the leaders of the Boys' Service Club: Frank Close, Jeff Cook, Nelsen Spikard.
