The pep club's activities this year included planning pep assemblies. organizing car caravans and making posters. They also sold buttons and small cards to raise the enthu- siasum and interest of the students before a game. An ex- change with the Bellevue pep club took place when the Bellevue officers invited the Islander officers to a before- game dessert where they discussed different ways to instill wpirit in each school. The pep club also put into effect the rep jug as it was presented to the winning class in competi- tion during each pep assembly for home games. The drill team provided half-time entertainment by marching in home football and basketball games, includ- ing one joint performance with the Lake Washington drill team at Lake Washington for the game against Mercer ls- land. The drill team's other activities included marching in the Seafair parades in the summer. A new addition to the team uniform was the white tams that were bought by each member of the team. The team also sponsored the annual dessert where the new squad and officers were pre- sented. The many members of the pep club show some of their enthusiasum as they peer ou-r the senior balcony. Ei
