Cadets The Library Cadets are a group of students selected each year from grades eight through twelve who devote at least one study hall a week in service to the school. One of the main responsibilities is the library charge desk. Here two or three cadets work in signing passes, checking out books and magazines, and cataloging the cards. As a project, the club has been sending two students to a Student Library Workshop for high school students. Row One: D. Ringer, K. Murphy, E. Shiftlet, P. Kyle, A. Schell, N. Thompson, S. McGhee. Row Two: H. Callegos, I. Morford, J. Delgros, C. Carucci, M. Campbell. Row Three: N. Rausch, M. Jewel, J. Romer, D. Coryea, A. Carucci, L. Leisher. Row Four: P. Anderson, M. McCullough, T. Amos, P. Abplanalp. J. Babnis, P. Smith. Junior High Row One: D. McElrath, N. McCullough, M. Tobey, L. Babies, S. Dunn, S. Thorn. Row Two: K. Llewellyn, M. Ivers, A. Brunberg, C. Foster, M. Taylor, S. Bissett. Row Three: B. Turner, J. Waddel, J. Votino, T. Kelso, B. Comer. The purpose of the library is to get books to the people who want them, and the primary purpose of the assistant is the responsibility of having library materials in their proper place so they can be obtained quickly and easily. Besides finding out much about the workings of a library and its contents, a cadet learns a wealth of information about books and people. 27
