fa Memoriam We, the Hi Times staff of 1959, express our sincere sympathy to the family and friends of John Thompson. He joined the student body of our school in 1956. During the years of attendance at Mercer High School he made many friends and was successful in his work. All were saddened to learn of his tragic death. Although he has left us, his memory and spirit remain. 2

To Mr. Clair McClure, athletic faculty manager for the past seven years, we dedicate this 1959 Hi Times. During these years, Mr. McClure missed only one of more than four hundred scheduled games. This figure includes varsity, junior varsity, and junior high football and basketball games, and track meets. Appreciation is extended to Mr. McClure for the excellent manner in which he handled this job, the importance of which is often overlooked. He is also advisor of the Sr. Hi Y. Algebra and math are the subjects he teaches, besides having an eighth grade home room. Mr. McClure is active in church and community activities. At the present time he is doing post graduate work at the University of Pittsburgh.
