SENIORS OFFICERS AND ADVISORS Seated: Veva Anderson, President; Norman King, Vice President; Dianne McConnell, Secretary Standing: Judy Holliday, Treasurer; Mr, Christie; Mr. Hoffman HISTORY We, the class of 1955. are now looking back over our younger days which, in the future, will be called “the good old days.” In 1952 we entered the new high school as Freshmen. Everything was new and bright, and we made good use of these improved facilities. Our Sophomore year was a prosperous one. We had bake sales and held a class dance, “The Bunny Hop” to help raise money. The busy year of 1954-55 began for our class when we held our class party “Autumn Harvest” in November. The money-making projects of this year included selling Christmas cards and magazines subscriptions. The Junior class was in charge of the Christmas assembly which included a portrayal of the Nativity and a humorous skit, “Reindeer on the Rooftop.” In February we held the annual class play, which was a murder mystery, “The Cat and the Canary”. Then came the highlight of our Junior year, the prom, “Stairway to the Stars,” featuring Jimmy Dunn’s orchestra. In September we became Seniors and our advisors, Mr. Christie and Mr. Hoffman, helped us in many ways. With Washington in mind, we made plans for our final year. We had our play, “A Man Called Peter,” in November. Other projects of the year included refreshment stands at football and basketball games, selling Christmas cards, and the Homecoming Dance. In the spring of 1956 we realized our dreams. Visiting Washington, D. C. is a memory we shall never forget. Then Baccalaureate and Commencement ended our high school career. But we shall always remember our class, the class of 1956. 14
