Intermedzate Room The year 1950 51 started out xn the Intermedxate room w1th twenty sxx students Nxne 1n the thxrd grade exght xn the fourth grade and mne 1D the flfth grade A number of umts have been worked out The fourth grade worked out a urut on South Amerlca fn geography now they are worklng out a unxt on Afrxca The fxfth grade class IS enjoymg thexr hzstory so very much this year that they decxded to make a scrapbook In it they are pastlng pxctures of all the 1mportant people and places which we have studled about The thxrd grade has completed two books lh health and one xn sclence Now we are workxng on the unxt 'Farm Babxes We are putting forth much effort xn hndxng sultable pxctures for our bulletxn board We've had two partxes thxs year Our Chrlstmas party was enjoyed very much We asked all of our mothers to come smce we had special gxfts for them whxch we made The gzfts were dxsh towels that each pup1l had textxle paxnted usmg apples and pears as desxgns We really surprised our mothers A dellcxous lunch was served The second party was our Valentlne party A lunch was served in the Hot Lunchroom whmch consxsted of buns heart cookres pxckles and pop parents present at our P T A meetxngs The books whxch we have rece1ved so far are Robb1e the Brave Lxttle Collle Rlde Cowboy Rxde and Ben-pe's Hat Th1s room took part 1n our Chrxstmas program The name of the play was Chr1stmas Around the World Every chxld took part We also learned how to do f1gur1ne pamtmg Th1s the chmldren enjoy very much We have many weeks of work left on thxs project The chxldren all contrzbuted to the March of D1mes and contrlbuted money for fxllxng gxft boxes for the Red Cross We fllled two boxes one for a boy and one for gxrl Nineteen students of the twenty s1x are stay1ng for the hot lunches whzch are aga1n bemg served Up to the present tlme we have four students who have perfect attendance They are Claudxa Pederson Raylene Just Constance Freeberg and Dxckxe Wahl Many students wxll recexve a Reading Clrcle Cert1f1cate Th1s is issued to any student who has read exghteen books dunng the term All are enjoylng the new lxbrary books wh1ch were purchased for our room wxth the carmval money 19 D, . . . - , ' Our room has won four library books from the P.
