Calling the Ship's Doctor First aid instructors from Lexington presented a very educational and enjoyable inservice program for teachers on January 22 and 23. For two days teachers reversed their traditional roles and became students as they read material from a first aid workbook, answered questions, watched filmed demonstrations, and practic- ed techniques of first aid on each other. Some of the topics covered were mouth to mouth breathing, obstructed airways, bandaging, splints, and emergency rescue. At the end of the second day the teachers took a fifty question multiple choice test over the skills and concepts they learned.
