Beulah Carey wills her love for Burgin boys to Bonnie Cox. Mary Cinnamon wills her yellow sweater and plaid skirt to Barbara Cinnamon. Jenny Evans wills her one and only little blonde curl to Kay Estes. Betty Jo Sanders wills her ability to get along with Mr. Pryse to Rita Dean. Barbara Ransdell wills her good citizenship to Van Wiley. Mary Devine and Mary Phillips will all their Geography test to anybody. Tommie Stuart wills his long legs to Larry Short and Eddie Murphy wills his height to George Stone. Anita Lester wills to Janet Catlett a bushel basket to carry her singing in. Mary Morris and Carolyn Hockersmith will their ability to keep shorthand class alive to Ester Jones and Annetta Reed. Billy Burke wills La von to anyone who thinks they can handle her. Janie Brock wills her nice personality to Barbara Cinnamon. Joyce Phillips wills her dark brown eyes to anyone with blue eyes. Class We, the members of the 1959 Class of Mercer High School, considering ourselves to be thoroughly drilled in Bookkeeping and English, knowing that we are the liveliest and probably the sweetest class yet to enter or leave our beloved and beautiful school and having been sufficiently educated to know the extent of our possessions and having a fixed purpose in mind as to how the same should be disposed of, do hereby will, devise and bequeath our possessions as follows: To the faculty, we will our junk including, 6 1 2 balls of A.B.C. chewing gum, 51 broken rubber bands, 4 waste cans of cheating notes, all of our unused manners, 2 dull pencils and last but not least, our deepest appreciation for your endurance and patience during the four years you have had us as students. To the Freshmen we will our good looks. To the Sophomores we will our desire to run the place. To the Juniors we will our unstained name. Joe Hanby wills his ability to out-smart Mr. Berry to Harry Wiley. Pauline Chilton and Shirley Devine will their love affairs to Joyce Ashford and Linda Scott. Roxie Dossett wills her 1, 000 lines not to chew gum in Mr. Pryse's class anymore to Ann Taylor. Diana McQueary, Ann Famey, and Ruby Proctor will their knowledge of shorthand to Bernice Best, Ernestine Sallee, and Brenda Combs. Marvin Smith wills his Senior Math grades to Denzil Barnes. Jackie Mills wills her driving ability to Linda Britton and Sue Isham. Guy McGinnis wills his lucky basketball uniform to George Barnett. Charles Sanders wills his ability to ride a motorcycle to Harvey Anderson. Jerry Wilson wills his nothing to nobody because he has nothing to spare. Billy Logue and Miller Horn will their baseball ability to Clyde Sims. Georgia Watts wills her ability to study to Sara Byrd. George Allen leaves his quiet personality to Wendell Gritton. Mary Ann Staples wills her curly hair to Cathy Ison. Helen Bradley wills her front row seat in Mr. Royalty’s class to Helen Devine. Charline Barnett wills her ability to get along with people to Dorothy Broughton. Reva Combs wills her long hair to Mrs. Hatcher; Eunice Gritton leaves her waves to Joan Curd. Mary Jones wills her A's to the Beta Club. Patsy Cummins wills the Youth Center to anyone who can keep up their dues. Janice Buckley wills her knowledge of bookkeeping to Mr. Berry.

Class Dear Mrs. Foley and Mrs. Hatcher: Since ten long years have passed since our graduation night, we are writing to you to let you know what we are now doing. GEORGE ALLEN is die 1969 Nobel prize winner for his twenty volumes on “How to Be the Life of the Party.” CHARLENE BARNETT is now chasing little Pinkstons. HELEN BRADLEY, after spending six months at Slenderella Salon, succeeded in becoming Mrs. William Royalty. JANIE BROCK just notified us that she is the heiress of the Brock Candy Company and she and JOHNNY SPAULDING plan to merge since he’s still engaged in die Blackmarket. BOBBY CAMPBELL is a noted lecturer around die U.S. CHARLES SANDERS is securely established in his All Day Sucker Company with his favorite lollipop, BEULAH CAREY SANDERS. PAULINE CHILTON and CAROLYN HOCHERSMITH have started on their right hands, since their left hands won’t hold any more diamonds. ELMO CHRISMAN is now getting his livelihood from MARVIN SMITH, who is the source of his boot- legging wealth. LEONARD CHUMBLY is now the Captain of die Tokyo Giants baseball team. MARY RUTH CINNAMON is getting further away from heaven. (She moved off the hill). REV A COMBS is now a lion tamer with the Clyde Beatty Circus, but she can’t seem to tame Bill Murphy. J. W. DARLAND and JERRY WILSON are running a used car lot, but officers have been unable to determine the source of their cars. BRENDA DEAN and DONALD ROYALTY finally tied the knot (around his neck). LEE DEAN is still playing with dolls, only now they’re pulling his strings. JERRY DISMUKE is now a nerve specialist in a nudist colony. ANN FARNEY is now die world’s greatest authority on World War I. PAUL GREEN and BUDDY ISHAM are now the proud and wealthy owners of the Monte Carlo Casino. JOE HANBY and WM. SHARP now operate the nation’s longest dragstrip from San Francisco to Bondville. MILLER HORN is now custodian of the Democratic Convention Hall in Chicago. The headlines tell us that the city officials of Cincinnati have closed EUNICE GRITTON WILEY’S Salon, Wee Willie Wiley’s Cafe. TIMMIE JOHNSON is now married to his sixth wife, a sixty-five year old French heiress. MARY J. JONES is now die first woman Elder of the Christian Church. BARBARA LEAR traced her family tree back to King Lear, whose castle she inherited. She discovered that this only made her $14 million in debt with back taxes. BILLY LOGUE is now the world’s renowned specialist on how to pull the wool over the teacher’s eyes. Although GUY MC GINNIS and JACKIE MILLS have had their spats, they know now it’s better dian having brats. DIANA MC QUEARY is still speaking her piece, since she’s President of the Woman’s Sufferage Associa- tion. Now that EDDIE MURPHY has reached die moon, his only problem is how to get back to earth. FRANCES PHILLIPS is now a professor of World History at Sarbonne in Paris. JOYCE PHILLIPS is now a fat lady in HARRY SHERROW'S 7 Rilfg Circus. BETTY JO SANDERS didn’t croak and succeeded in being first girl admitted to West Point. JERRY FOSTER is every boy’s ideal as an All-American Wolf. TOM STUART, multi-millionaire who has evaded paying his income tax up until now is being chased by die chief of the F.B.I., BILLY DON BURKE. Next time you take the Senior Class to Hawaii stop in at DELILAH and GEORGIA’S Hula Studio. MARY ANN RANSDELL is now the private secretary to U.N. Secretary-General THOMAS ROBINSON. ANITA LESTER, due to change of voice, is now the star baritone of the Metropolitan Opera.
