Oscar Hinojosa and Bud Terry scored for the Tigers and Zavala kicked for the extra point. The Raymondville Bearkats were out classed and fell by the vsayside by a score of 19 to 0. Bud Terry Roger Rodriguez and Mark Clifford tal- lied for the Tigers and Albert Zavala converted the extra point. The Rio Grande City Rattlers saw Bill Ray Oscar Hinojosa and Mark Clifford score for the Tigers and Zavala kicked for the extra point making the score 32 to 7. La Feria was a pushover as the reserves played the majority of the game and scored 45 points to La Feria's 13. The Tigers stomped the Edcouch-Elsa Yellow Jackets and were crowned District Champs for the first time in 24 years. The Tigers scored with Jim Norris receiving a pass from Bud Terry, Oscar Hinojosa, and Nick tallied. Albert Zavala racked up the extra points.
