These members were selected by the Executive Committee..The work of the Execu- tive Committee was to consider the petitions of all applicants and interview those students who broke rules. This committee was composed of Melvyn Brodie, Rally Chairman, and three other members, Virginia Dilim, Jim Murdoch, and Bill Abel, who were chosen be- cause of their ability in leadership and organization. The main functions of the Rally Committee were to collect tickets, to assist at games, to keep order at assemblies and rallies, to help new students find their classes, and to ll ll lla l T LR , Rally member Barbara Turner buys a pom-pom to keep up with the school spirit.

For its activities, the Rally Committee sponsored the Fresh- man-Sophomore Brawl, held a skating party at Christmas, and had a picnic at the lake at the end of the year. The people chosen for Rally Committee were considered top-ranking students and were expected to set an example for the student body in cooperative, enthusiastic con- duct and school spirit.
