.qufenf KCMQ BILL CLARKE President The school year 1958-59 will long he rememhered hy the 1100 memhers of the Nl. U. H. S. student hody as a year of great accomplishments. More activities have heen held, and more school spirit has heen shown, par- ticularly in the football season, than in any other recent year. The cooperation of the hand and the newly organized Block M Society contrihuted largely to this. ln order to promote good sportsmanship and to further the interest in the games, many Hpepn rallies were held, at which the students showed great enthusi- asm. On November 15, Nlerced High presented a program for Madera Student hody, who returned this visit with a presentation for us on Novemher 18. Livingston, on March 9, also favored us with a rally after we had entertained them at their school. January 12 hrought to us the accomplished violinist, Karen Tuttle. ln March, Modesto Junior College entertained with some of its talent, and Naturalist Harwell offered us an illustrated lecture on Yosemite Valley. All in all, we feel that this year has heen, a great one, and we sincerely hope that the student loody of 1959-40 will he as successful in athletics, social activities, and scholastic achievements. ILA POYTRE55 SUMNER PECK KAY SHARP NELLIE MAE WILDER Vice-President Secretary Treasurer
