ELH DIARTHA McCLUNG Editor Departing from the design oi former years, the 1938 El Rodeo hopes that in this book the students of Mercedis high school will see a clearly portrayed picture of school life. It is our desire that this book be of interest to the students, not for one class, but for the entire student body. Although We have introduced modernism and originality of design, We have preserved the tradition and purpose of the Year Book. The entire staff of the El Rodeo Wishes to thank Mrs. Sturdevant and Mr. Poytress for their time, effort, and Worry spent in the publication of the book. The El Rodeo has recorded in it the activities of the serious and lighter moments of our school year, 1937-1938. In later years let this book bring back those memories.
