Dedication Miss Agnes J. Berwind Miss Agnes Berwind has watched and contributed to the growth of Central High School 3, from its original six room school house to the vast system of four junior and three senior high schools it is today. One of the five members of the first Mepham faculty, she has remained a loved and respected teacher and administrator. When the school moved into its present building, Miss Berwind became Chairman of the Social Studies Department. Her capable administration led to her appointment as Director of Instruction and Curriculum; and, in 1965, as Administrative Assistant. Throughout her many years of sendee to benefit the district, Miss Benvind has exuded a warmth and understanding that has helped to unify the expanding system. With her helpfulness, encouragement, and inspiration, she has endeared herself to the administration and the teachers, proving herself essential in their work. She has always been ready to solve, wisely, the problems of other people, to offer sound advice and common sense. The students are grateful for her intense loyalty to, and love of, Central High School District 3, for she has dedicated her life to them. So, with this in mind we, the students of W.C. Mepham High School, dedicate this, our 1966 Treasure Chest to you, Miss Agnes Berwind. 4
