Mr. Gerald E. Tarbell, our Assistant Principal, has become one of the outstanding personalities of the district. He attended St. Lawrence University, where he received both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. To further his education, he spent several summers studying at the University of Maine, the University of Michigan, and New York University. He came to our school district in the fall of 1953, and taught physics at Mcpham until 1958. In addition to his teaching, Mr. Tarbell found time to serve as advisor of the P.A. Club and Secretary of the Dad’s Club. In 1959 he was named Mcpham’s Assistant Principal. Mr. Tarbell has shown himself to be an efficient administrator with a deep interest in both the activities of Mepham’s students and the problems and needs of high school youth in general. He realizes the importance of future goals to each individual student.
