Herman A. Tennant Mr. Herman A. Tennant, the Principal of our school, graduated from Hobart College, in Geneva, New York. He taught for a year in Newton Falls, New York, where he was coach, teacher, and Assistant Principal. He then taught five years at Tupcr Lake, where he was again coach, teacher, and Assistant Principal. Mr. Tennant came to District Number 3 in 1935, before Mephem High School was built. He was one of the original staff in this district. He rose to the head of the Math Department, and during the War was Assistant Supervising Principal for 2 J 2 years, during the absence of Mr. Calhoun. He has been principal of the Merrick Avenue Junior High School, and this is his first year as principal of our school. Mr. Tennant has also found time during his busy career to take graduate courses at New York University, and also to head many community groups. Gerald E. Tarbell Mr. Gerald E. Tarbell, our new Assistant Principal has been in Central High School District 3 for six years. He taught physics for four years at Mcpham. Last year he was the assistant principal of Jerusalem Avenue Junior High School. As Me-pham’s Assistant Principal he has been “Mepham’s man in motion.” 12
