MENTONE SCHOOL SONG Up Mentone High arise, Girded for fight; Always WHERE HONOR LIES, There you’ll find the green and white. Sturdy and strong are we. Steadfast and true; Striving so valiantly. As now we sing and tribute bring to you. MENTONE BULLDOGS To dear old Mentone High, Our praises we sing; Onward to Victory, While our voices ring. Faithful and firm are we, Sturdy and strong; Honoring the green and white, As with our hearts we join you in song.

Student Council Janis Hoffer, Garry Weidner, Jerry Zolman, Kathy Boggs, Diane Flenar, Sue Castellanos, Mike Orcutt, Dennis Feldman, Rex Bowser, Barbara Decker, Steve Tucker, Salvadore Murcia, Dennis Meyer, Danny Romine, Mr. Mason, sponsor. The student council serves as the liaison factor between the student body and faculty. It is the voice of the students, while seeking advice and giving suggestions in the hope of helping the administration provide the best possible educational atmosphere. Members of the council took advantage of the annual state conven- tion of student councils at North Central High School, Indianapolis. Mike Orcutt, president, was honored to be selected as discussion lead- er for the convention. This year the council has been active in many ways. It has assum- ed responsibility in helping to keep a lively social program in operation. To highlight this social progress the council presented its annual vari- ety program Blast which proved to be just that. The crowning achievement of the year is the planned and probable acquisition of a foreign exchange student for next year and the possi- bility of a Mentone student traveling abroad this summer. 4
