THE YEARS AHEAD My, how time flies ! It seems as though it were only yesterday when we were roam- ing around the halls of M.H.S. As I was visiting some of my old friends this sum- mer, it suddenly dawned on me that ten years had lapsed since graduation. I first visited Reverend Larry Rackeweg, who is conducting revivals on Kena River. In Chicago I interviewed the president of Phillips Girdle and Corset Company. Lynn always did have the snap of things! In Nevada I called on Kay (Taylor) Logan. She and her husband have utilized the slogan Cheaper by the Dozen. From Nevada I headed for California. I found Bov Tucker and Gary Shepherd the leading beauticians in Hollywood. I hear they are pretty slick Operators with the act- resses. As I boarded a jet for Europe, I ran into John Feldman, a je pilot, who now resides on the Moon. In Paris I met Countess Shirley McKee, now engaged in bubble-dancing. Recently her bubble burst, and she was arrested for indecent exposure. My next visit was to the Sultan of Utopia, Wayne Burkey, surrounded by his harem of fifty beautiful girls. I returned to U. S. via Miami, where I visited socialite Becky Keirn in her pent- house with her pet snakes and alligators. In Washington, D.C., where lam with the F.B.I., I read about several of my classmates in the Washington Post . For meritorious service above the call of duty, Mitchell Tucker has received recog- nition for his service in the W.O.L.F. Club. (Worshipers of Lovely Females) Ruth Ann Huff has just been named Miss Rocket of 1971 in recognition of her expe- dition to the Moon. The great chemist, Max Flenar, is about to make an acid that will eat through any- thing. His problem now is what will he keep it in? Linda Perrin, renowned scientist, has astounded the world by proving the Einstein Theory to be false. Janice Davis has established the National Association for Bachelor Girls of America, dedicated to streamlining household chores in one-room apartments to ten minutes daily while reading a book. Dr. Linda Long and Dr. Mona Ross have discovered a sure cure for the common cold. Although the after-effect of the cure is a case of pneumonia, the cold is gone ! Aprominent local accountant, Tom Witt- kamper, recently invented a new style lawn mower in Hawaii. After many attempts to find a beverage that would not ferment, Lee Istok now has a drink that makes the old feel young and the young feel younger. Connie Huffman has invented a new baby- sitting kit including one skeleton key for all refrigerators and 2 bottles of sleeping pills for the non- sleeping little pills . Pam Hammer, first woman to enter the 500 mile race at Indianapolis, has just set a new record. Janet Capes, leading model at Rosenthal ' s in New York, has been eating for weeks to get in shape for this job. Linda Goshert, an explorer, was found nearly frozen to death in Alaska. Although she had six cans of heat, she nearly froze to death from lack of a can opener. The great sculpturer, Terry Rowland, is now working on his masterpiece for the Art Award. Larry Wise, owner of a flea circus, scratched himself to death. He had been leading a dog ' s life. Two local school teachers, Ruth Drudge and Jackie Duff, took leave of absence to study nature by bicycling in South America. Bob Griff is has shown a new technique in the field of animal biology by developing a strain of odorless skunks. Dona VanGilder has been awarded the Oscar for costume designing in the movie of the year, Business Perfers Women. Starring in this movie was Linda Surface. Barry Blalock is currently starring with the House of David basketball team. Susie Sullivan has invented a new product called Hairback for the men. Martha Miller has become an interpreter for General Larry Manwaring in the NATO headquarters in Naples, Italy. How we have changed! I wonder what will happen to all of us in another ten years. Sandra Lackey
