TWENTY-ONE Alice Surface Beverly Tinkey Junior News The class of 57 has 31 members. The class gained five who were transferred from Burket: Richard Goshert,' Richard Haupert, Janice Rohrer, Donna Smith, and Mary Kate Miller. Junior Clam- pitt, a former classmate, returned from Spencer, Indiana. Mary Kate Miller because of illness at- tended only the first semester. Mrs. Ruth Snellen- berger was the class sponsor. The following officers served for the year: President—Sue Borton Vice-president—Tom Hoover Secretary—Carol Dillman Treasurer—Dorothy Christian Canteen Manager—Charles Feldman Assistant Manager—Keith Besson Mentonette Reporter—Janet Romine Annual Reporter—Dorothy Christian The main money-making project of the year has been the candy and ice cream sales at noons and at the ballgames. On October 15 the juniors had a penny supper which was a success—especially the chicken pie. On December 12 the juniors sponsored a don- key basketball game in which the Mentone and Burket Lions' Clubs participated. On March 9 the class won the inter-class basket- ball tourney. The only class party of the year was an eve- ning in March spent at Rock Lake Rollercade. On March 23 the juniors entertained the seniors at the ice revue at Elkhart.
