GOLF INDIAN LINKS TERS 1958 GOLF TEAM--FIRST ROW: Neil Hanson, Jim Einum, Craig Halverson, Daryl Lund, Ralph Allen. SECOND ROW: Harold Fletcher, Chuch Ringrose, Coach McKay, Mike Harmston, John Guntner, John S pielman. Harmston Holes out. The 1958 golf team was led by the shooting of Mike Harmston and Craig Halverson. This team placed 7th in the Little Olympics. The biggest turnout we have had since golf was first introduced to M.H.S. These were the words of Coach Les McKay when eighteen boys showed up for golf. Mike Harmston, Harold Fletcher, and Craig Halverson were the only returning lettermen. Despite these odds, the Indian Linkmen won a triangular meet between River Falls and New Richmond, defeated Durand, and took 5th place in the Little Olympics. Menomonie dropped two matches to Eau Claire, two to Mondevi, and lost a triangular match between Eau Claire and New Richmond. The returning lettermen for next year are: Craig Halverson and Harold Fletcher. 1959 GOLF TEAM - - FIRST ROW: Craig Hal- verson, Jack Harbour, Jim Einum, Rocky Flint, Charles Frank, Ralph A1- lan, Doug May, John Wein- kauf.
