While waiting to make the Indian varsity, the underclassmen develop basketball fundamentals under Coa ch Tom Miner. The Indian B's copped eight of their first ten starts but faded in the latter part of the season winning only three out of seven games. The season was highlighted by impressive victories over the River Falls Falcons and a strong La Crosse Logan team, Menomonie outscored these opponents by forty points. Individuals who showed remarkable improvement at the end of,the season were La Verne Otto and Ron Retzloff.
