Thespians presented The De- fender , written by Reginald Rose and directed by Dean Wiseman. The lighted auditorium and the absence of curtains and intermissions gave the audience a feeling of direct participation in the production. This stirring courtroom drama portrayed a son who insisted that his lawyer father continue as defense attorney in a murder case, in spite of the fact that the father believed the defendant to be guilty. I Remember Mama was adapted from a heart warming story of early American immigrants, while The Imaginary Invalid is oneofMoliere's immortal comedy satires. The club traveled to Eau Claire to see the Male Animal and The Devil's Dis- ciple. Foreseeing the future, Mr. Wiseman did some creative work and laid foundations in the children's theater.
