Thespians presented The De- fender , written by Reginald Rose and directed by Dean Wiseman. The lighted auditorium and the absence of curtains and intermissions gave the audience a feeling of direct participation in the production. This stirring courtroom drama portrayed a son who insisted that his lawyer father continue as defense attorney in a murder case, in spite of the fact that the father believed the defendant to be guilty. As the play drew to a close, justice prevailed and an amicable father-son relationship was restored . 22 Walter Preston. . Kenneth Preston. . Joseph Gordon . . . Mrs. Gordon ...... The Hon.
