ROLAND SNOW One of the finest and most ex- panded math programs in Wisconsin is what we have in this high school. From the bewildered freshmen paddling through their algebra course up to the whiz-kids conquering trig, the unending fascination of math prevails. The evi- dence shows in the fact that the math classes are the largest of any elected subject. Like the satisfaction that ac- companies the solution of a sticky problem, so is the satisfaction a math student feels upon completing a year's work in any division of Menomonie High's marvelous math department. The study of the Latin lan- guage helps your understanding of Eng- lish grammar and increases your vo- cabulary. Thousands of English words come from Latin. It is cheerful and bright with its light paint, newly tiled iloor, and bright lights. Today, in this atomic or space age, science is more important than ever before. If our country is to survive, our schools must turn out more and better scientists all the time. Biology, physics, and chemistry all offer us invaluable information and knowledge. Let's hope that the students in our high school will appreciate and take advantage of this scientific training.
