Regardless of how far we progress in formal education, English is essential because everyone should be able to write and speak effec- tively. The college entrance exams and the tough competition experi- enced in class work, will be easier to meet with a good background in English. This year, for the first time, our school is offering a course in college preparatory English which should be a must for those expect- ing to go on to college.
