TEAM PERSONAL DECKER Played fullback and end Was a constant gamer at fullback and a block ing man at both positions He won his maJor letter last two years OCONNOR Center Our scrapping Irishman played center for two years and was a good pivot man Opponents found real opposition in him DRAKE Our midget halfback was fast on his feet and his long circling run proved disasterous for several teams PINKEPANK Playing tackle he proved a mighty scrapper on both defense and offense HYLLAND Who strived three years for a position gained one this year His ability to catch passes gained an end position for him STORY OF THE SEASON fContmuedJ The team went to Eau Claire to try to make up for the defeat handed them the Saturday before. The fellows played good ball the first half but in the second half everything went wrong, and Eau Claire scored when given the chance. Our inability to take advantage of scoring position lost the game 27-0. The Irish were host to us in our next game. The game was fairly even for a few minutes but suddenly the officials started penalizing Menomonie for many losses while the Irish were penalized but once throughout the whole game. The score for Menomonie came in the last quarter. New Richmond defeated us 19-6. Our final game of the season was with Barron. This game meant the final game for thirteen of Menomonie High School letter men and also for six reserves. The game started with Barron pushing one over the first 3 minutes. Then our boys got busy and put it over, making the final ending of the season for 19 fellows a pleasant one. Score 14-13. Seventy-Eight 1171 2zfzi?f'!f?f 'if' zfzfyf Eff I if A
