DEBATE HE question for debate this year was Resolved that the mstall H ment plan of buying personal property as now practiced 1n the United States is both socially and economically desirable Both teams were coached by Mr E C Stahlkopf The affirmative team was composed of four Juniors Cordelia Moody Harry Keller Francis Lalson and WV11l1am Ward Roy Larson Dale Lunke Donald Johnson and Jane Swenson made up the negative team of which all were Seniors with the exception of Donald Johnson who 1S a Sopho more. The first triangle of debates was held on February 7. The Chip- pewa Falls negative defeated the Menomonie affirmative here, by a 90-100 decision. The same day the Menomonie negative was defeated at Eau Claire by a 97-100 decision. On February 18, the Menomonie Affirmative team debated the Owen negative team at Owen and defeated them by a score of 97-100. On the same afternoon the Owen affirmative was defeated by our negative at Menomonie by a 96-100 decision. On the evening of February 27, the negative team was defeated at Baldwin by a 96-100 decision. The following afternoon the Lady- smith negative team came here and defeated our affirmative by a 97-100 score. We feel that our efforts this year in debate have not been in vain, as we have trained five good debaters for next year's teams. Sixty-Four 121 11 Zifif If If
