SEATED: Margaret Redekop, Eleanor Wall, Mr. H. Visch, Staff Advisor; Lillian Rempel, Irmie Enns, Eliesabeth Friesen. STANDING: Helmut Mierau, Albert Redekop, Dave Enns. SOCIAL COMMITTEE The social life in the M. B. C. I. has been one which all students will fondly recall in years to come. The term was begun in the proper way by getting acquainted at a Get-Acquainted, party. Under the influence of good fellowship, songs, and games, a strong bond of friendship was formed among the students. This bond was held and strengthened with the progress of the year. The annual Christmas Banquet, was also a pleasant evening which ended the first semester. All rooms held class parties. Bowling, and tobogganing seem to have been the favorite forms of entertainment. The social activity in the school has helped to maintain a wholesome atmosphere throughout the year. David Enns. Compliments of f. g|r Enterprise 1181 Kttdooan Drive Ph. BIBLE WEEK m I “But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved £jus, even when we were dead insins.hath quickened us together, with Christ, ' by grace are ye saved;)” Ephesians 2; 4-5. — ' | These verses were proven true to the students of the M.B.C.I. in a vary special way this year during the religious-emphasis week (Feb¬ ruary 8-12). 9 This year our school experienced a spiritual revival. We are grate¬ ful to God for having sent Rev. P.R. Toews to our school. Rev. Toews showed a sincere interest in the welfare of the students and he endeared himself to them. Because of this he was able to speak to us in such a manner that the Holy Spirit could work in our hearts. In the mornings, Rev. Toews spoke on being a joyful Christian and in the afternoons he spoke on con¬ version. Through him our school was richly blessed. Victor Thiessen. REV. P. R. TOEWS PRAYER COMMITTEE REPORT “Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” Phil. 4:6. Prayer is part of our spiritual diet. Through prayer we communicate with God, asking for our needs and praising His grace. Every week we have this opportunity in school. Once a month all classes gather for a testimony meeting which concludes with a short period of prayer. The other weeks each class has separate prayer meetings. Through sharing experiences in testimony and uniting in prayer, we have received many blessings. We pray that in return for blessings received, we might be a blessing and a light to those who are still outside the fold. Herb Klassen.
