STUDENT COUNCIL SEATED; Erna DeFehr, Mr. H. Dick, Staff Advisor; Melvin Toews, President; Eleanor Warkentin, Sec¬ retary; Robert Peters, Charlotte Redekop. STANDING; Bruno Toews, Walter Froese, Robert Wiens. Once again this year, the student council of M. B. C. I. has made its presence felt throughout school activities. Our main goals as a student council have been to co-ordinate student activities and to foster a close student-teacher relationship. We have tried to make our school a better institution of learning; one which will honour and glorify our Lord and Saviour. We as a student council, would like to express our appreciation to you, the student body, for granting us the privilege of serving you. We also wish to express our sincere appreciation to our principal, Mr. Dick, who has been a very competent advisor and guide to the student council. BUGLE STAFF Once a month our library is transformed into a miniature printing press. Once again it is time for the Bugle” to be issued. Minds have been active; nimble fingers have been busy transferring thoughts onto paper; typewriters have been clicking, until all is ready for the press. Our old faithful Gestetner now comes to the scene of action. Willing hands patiently operate the machine as page after page is rolled off the press. Soon a huge pile of paper has accumulated which contains a devotional, humorour incidents, reports of school activities, and other items of general interest. The final stage has now arrived - that of compiling and stapling. Another “Bugle” has been created. What benefit do thestudents receive from these hours of thought and labour? We hope we are justified in feeling that it fosters a more desirable school spirit as well as providing students with an opportunity of expressing themselves for the benefit of all.
