GRADE ELEVEN CLASS REPORT Our grade eleven class contains forty-seven many different and rather peculiar personalities. There are those who enjoy ardent study and then there are others who would rather spend their time talking and cracking jokes. Certain people even resort to throwing little pieces of paper around the room. However, this is not always the case. When the bell rings at five minutes to nine, we scramble to our seats. Mr. Visch then enters the room, picks up the yardstick, and slams it on the desk with all his might. (Believe it or not, the yardstick has not yet broken.) This serves as a last call for those who are not yet quite awake. They jump up with a start and finally we are all ready for a day of work. About two minutes pass and we have just nicely started our German lesson when a f ew latecomers straggle into the room. (By the way, there is a tall blond fellow who was late almost every day for awhile. However after a few hours of shovelling snow after four, he has become wise and now he is generally early.) Now we really begin to concentrate. Before we know it, the 3:20 bell rings and we quickly pack up our books and leave for home. We have had many enjoyable times this year and it is our sincerest desire that we mayhavegrown spiritually in this Christian High School. Also, on behalf of Gr. XI, I would like to extend congratulations to the grads of ‘59 and wish them God’s blessing in the future. Anne Marie Dick ANSWER TO VALEDICTORY On behalf of the undergraduates of the M.B.C.I. I would first of all like to extend my congratulations to you, the members of this year’s graduating class. Today marks the completion of twelve years of study. Your graduation is the culmination of all the strivings and efforts you have put forth in achieving this goal. You have all experienced unique cir¬ cumstances, frustrations, and triumphs in approaching this event. During the past school year each of you have had the opportunity of working together with the other members of your class, and also with us, the junior students. We feel certain that we have profited by this association. You have always shown to us the unity of purpose, and the cooperation which we look for in a senior class. Diversities of character, and uniqueness of personality, have never threatened the bonds which held your class together. Graduation therefore, marks a group as well as an individual, achievement. On the other hand, this event can be considered in the light of the fact that graduation also embodies your commencement exercises. Actually this is the initial step which will take each of you in characteristic and divergent ways. Together with your parents and friends we join in wishing you that measure of success which God has chosen to grant to you in your vocation. In the next school year we of the grade eleven class, will endeavor to prove ourselves worthy of the challenge and the responsibilities which we accept from the present senior class. Dave Enns

ADELINE LOEWEN - It is easy to be good if you don’t forget. ERIKA LOEWEN - When the cat ' s away the mice will play. JOHN MARTENS - A studious lad who is seldom bad. ANN LOHRENZ - You never hear her unless the teacher asks her, and then hardly. EVELIN PETERS - A happy girl so full of glee, is often laughing loud and free. WERNER PLETZ - Quiet ' -but wail till you know him. JOANNE REIMER - Does her work welL ALEDA UNRUH - The front isn’t beside you! JAKE THIESSEN - What a joke.
