GRADE TWELVE CLASS REPORT Last September we entered die “gates of knowledge” determined to make our last year the best of alL Now, as we pause in retrospect, we realize that it has been just that. Through our morning devotions, religion classes, and prayer meetings we have gained a better understanding of God, His ways, and what we owe Him. We are thankful to Mr. Regehr, our class teacher, and to the other teachers for their wonderful guidance and positive Christian example. Our social activities consisted of several class parties which were thoroughly enjoyed by all. The highlight was the presentation of our drama, “Flachsmann als Erzieher”. The climax will be graduation - another mile-stone along the path leading us to our goaL Then one day in June we will enter the doors of the MJ3.C.I. for the last time. During the past year, many lasting friendships have been formed. We will always remember the good times and the spiritual fellowship we had together. Lois Wiebe

VALEDICTORIES Parents, teachers, fellow students and friends of the MJ3.CJ. We, the graduates of 1959, have come to a climax in our life at the M.B.C.I. Our faces express the joy of completing a task, but our hearts sense the sadness of parting from this institution and from the many friends we have learned to know. If we compare our life to a book, the years spent at the M.B.CJ. would be one chapter in that book. We are about to bring this chapter to a close, and nothing will be added or subtracted from it. As we look back on this chapter of our lives, we recall many blessings, as well as many hours of hard work. The devoted effort, the personal interest, and the spiritual assistance of the teachers have impressed us greatly. The higher purpose of life has become more real to us. Therefore on behalf of the graduates I would like to express our appreciation for what you, the teachers, have done for us. May God richly bless you for your efforts and sacrifices on our behalf. We definitely owe a word of thanks to our parents and many friends who have made it possible for us to attend an institution such as this. Now as our last words in this chapter at theM.B.C.I., we would challenge our fellow students with the words: “Raise high your flag upon the hill Hold fast your faith and hold until God’s truth wins as it will.’’ Werte Eltern, Lehrer, and Freunde der Schulel Wir feiern heute einen fuer uns sehr wichtigen und freudenreichen Tag. Man koennte vielleicht sagen dass wir die Muendung eines Stromes erreicht haben, welcher sich in das grosse Meer desLebens ergiesst. So wie ein grosses Schiff, das auf solcheinem Strome faehrt, bis zu der Muendung begleitet und gefuehrt werden muss, so wurden auch wir auf den richtigen Weg hingewiesen. Dafuer sind wir am ersten Gott den Dank schuldig. Unseren Eltern und den F reunden der Schule sind wir dankbar, dass sie es uns ermoeglichten, eine solche Hochschule zu besuchen, wie unsere M.B.C.I. es ist. Hier durften wir unter der Aufsicht von chrisstlichen Lehrern studieren. Dieses shaetzen wir sehr. Auf diese Weisehaben auch sie uns auf dem Strom geguehrt der sich zu dieser Muendung wand. Wenn nun ein Dampfer bei einer solchen Muendung angelangt ist, wird er bald darauf von den begleitenden Schiffen und den Lotsen verlassen. Das Schiff ist auf sich selbst angewiesen waehrend es die tobenden Wellen des Meeres bekaempft. In dieser Hinsicht unterscheiden wir und aber! Christus sagte: Ich will dich nicht verlassen noch versaeumen.” Hier haben wir Seine Verheissung dass Seine starke Hand mit uns gehen wird und uns auch durch das tobende Meer des Lebens begleiten will. Euch die ihr noch in der Schule bleibt, wollen wir ermuntern, nicht muede zu werden. Bald steht auch ihr an unserer Stelle. Das gilt besonders dem elften Grade. Dann muesst ihr auch die Schule verlassen die uns, wie bestimmt auch euch, ein grosser Segen gewesen ist. Wir wuenschen den Lehrern und Schuelern der MJ3.C.I., Gottes reichenSegen fuer die weiterenjahre.
