The activities began on the evening before with the coronations. The crowning of the Queen,Dohna Keller, and King, Wayne Mathias, was performed by Latitia Cox, 1953 Maroon and Gold Day Queen. The Queen's attendants were Edra Stroschein, Shirley Streyle,Eileen Headley and Darlene Klaudt. The King's attendants include: Harvey Lehr, Ralph Korn, Ernest Kratz and Roy Steffen. The coronation was followed by a bon- fire and snake dance. First prize floats in the Homecoming parade were: Senior class, 7th and 8th grade, and Library Club. In spite ofthe fact that it was apafect day in foot-- ball,ti'1e Menno Wolves were defeated by Fairfax in theHomecoming game. The day was broughttoaclose with a dance for the High School and Alumni.
