From the moment you enter high school, you are taught the basic func' tions of the school, the history of America, the culture and backgrounds of the world, and how the United States government is operated. This year, a new system was experimented with in the American Institution classes. Stuf dents were permitted to take such electives as Psychology, International Rela- tions, and Foreign Affairs for one semester, and the regular A,I, class for the remaining semester. It has proved to be quite a successful experiment, and seniors found the various electives very worthwhile and interesting. Mr. Robert Ross is head of the department. rfb .M A7923 .5 'c if fkvqf e sei 5 Q 2 9- awe is 4 X N Q' N ss It N1 x X, ts,v s jst X Raymonde Baratoux Rosa Cho-plin Teresita Esteva Wilbur Fellows William Lavin Hella Lonsen V- Kenneth Winn William Ziegler John Malarkey LANGUAGE DEPARTMENT 1 The students of MenlofAtherton take pride in their Language Department.
