Class of '56: Class uni+y was lhe plallorm ol Bill Brodie, a candidale for lhe class presidency in The fall. A+ a school as big as M-A, class unify is nol easy, bul wilh his eleclion lhe class gave ils approval lo Bill's plalform. A good slarl' was made al lhe Box Social in Oclober. The girls broughl' box lunches and each was auclioned off lo lhe boy bid- ding The highesl. Their nexl underlalcing, lhe annual Senior Class Play, Cheaper by The Dozen, was pul on enlirely by lhe Seniors. Their hard work was elleclive. Deserving lhe lun, many Seniors packed slcis, warm clolhes and plenly ol food on lwo buses and wenl lo Yosemile for lwo days of slciing. Since lhe lirsl day of The school year and even before, every Senior had anlicipaled lhe Senior Ball wilh mounling excilemenl. The dreamy music ol Jack Fisher's band conlribuled lo 'lhe enchanled almosphere by providing 'rhe baclcground for Silver Shadows. This year's Senior Class lell behind many memories and will long be recalled as one which beneliled lhe whole school as well as ilsell. Knowing lhal no maller how sfrong a board if had, lhe class would nol funclion properly wilhoul lhe supporl' of all of ils members, lhe mighly seniors had a class board which accomplished a greal' deal.
