X . as is QQ? physical education mr. robert ayers attended sanfa clara university and then did graduate worlc at stanford. during the war he was a sergeant, sports are his hobby, and baslcet- ball and traclc, his favorites. miss lrinney was born in napa, california, but she now calls lhe east her home. she attended several col- leges, her maior being dance, swimming and fenc- ing. shetaughfgirls' physical education and directed afterschool baslcetball. mr. terremere attended seguoia, later coached there for twenty years. as athletic director, he teaches boys' physical educalion and counsels freshmen. also he enioys woodworlc, hunting and fishing. mrs. lrances hoffman graduafecl from the university of california wifh a degree in speech and philosophy. she teaches girls' physical education, sponsors the freshman class and the afterschool dance club. mr. howard costello received his b.s. degree at san lose stafe. he taught physical education at tracy high school and at sequoia. during the war he was a pilot in the army air force. mrs. rosalee davies obtained an a.b. degree at the university of california and her m.a. degree at stan- ford. she teaches girls' physical education and spon sors the horseback riding club. library staff during the year the parent-teachers association helped the library toward filling the nearly empty shelves. mr. howard berenson, head librarian, under difficult conditions, has done a marvelous iob creat- ing fhe foundation for the library this year. a grad- uate of the universify of california, he altended library school at the university of illinois, and later went to sfanford. mrs. franguada is the pretty assistant librarian whom you might misfalre for one ofthe students. she grad- uated from pomona college with a maior in english literature. she sponsors the los robles club. office staff lcatherine lcyle, attendance secretary, went to busi- ness college in san diego. she once worlfed for a newspaper. enioys hunting and fishing. beverly norlin, mr. nugenl's secretary, graduated from sequoia last year. she lilies to swim and dance. helen ergle graduated from oberlin college, and is in charge of attendance, her biggest project is the translation of a bool: from furlrish to english. rnargarete cawley, mr. mayo's secretary, graduated from Sequoia, then went to business school in palo alto. she enjoys ceramics and gardening. mrs. wildey is secretary to the counselors. she once worlied for the banlr of america, lilies to sew.
