SPECIAL TRIBUTE Dear Miss Motley: For your devotion and unending efforts for the students of Menifee County, we salute you and pay to you a special tribute. BOARD OF EDUCATION Noah Patrick James Osborn Tunney Amburgey George Alice Motley Ed Banfield Emerson Ferrell Emerson Ferrell Noah Patrick George Alice Motley Ed Banfield James Osborn Tunney Amburgey The Menifee County Board of Education is shown at work. It is the governing body of the school and is responsible for all matters of financing and the decisions to be made regarding the administration. We, the Seniors of 1962 of Menifee County High School, dedicate this year- book to Mr. and Mrs. Adams in appreci- ation of the years of untiring service they have given to the Seniors and for their guidance which has meant so much to us during the past years. Principal’s Message Dear Seniors: Life is a great adventure, a journey traveled only once. It can be something beautiful and creative or it can bring to the traveler bitterness'and pain. Your teachers for the past twelve years have been trying to de- velop in you skill concepts and attitudes that will help you to make a more successful journey through life. The power that sustains you on your journey is knowledge, knowledge of material things and of spiritual things. As you go through life search for know- ledge. Read good books. Probably one of the most profitable habits you could acquire is the habit of reading. Your destiny is in your own hands your success in life is dependent upon your own effort. You cannot all be big league ball players, world known scientists, or academy award actors, but there is some job you can do, and do it well. Success and happiness are not dependent upon what you do so much as how well you do that job, and the personal satisfaction you derive from doing it. I have great faith in the young people of America today and I am proud that I am able to work with them. I consider it a privilege to have been able to work with you people for the past few years. I hope that I have been able to help you a little. I am wishing the best for you always. Sincerely, MALCOLM RAWLINGS Visiting Teacher EARL RAY BOTTS Government Science World Geography CHARLES V.
