THE OFFICERS for this year's activities. who were chosen last spring, are as follows: president. The girls in GAA had different sports they could participate in this year. The managers for these sports were chosen at the beginning of this school year. These are the managers: hockey, Diane Schultz, swimming, Bev Nance: basketball, Deanna Childers: bowling, .lean Garrityg volley ball, Sharon Whitmoreg soft ball, Sherril Michel. While the weather stayed nice, we played hockey. We had quite a few girls go out for hockey. On October 7, 1955, the GAA had the dog house for the game with Geneseo. Then. for Homecoming. ,454 Mary Ann Rollins and Sharon Wfhitmore were co- chairmen of our float. For a theme they chose ll e'I! llivrlfi All Ozer Them. During the winter months Miss Dunlap arranged with the oiiice that the GAA could have the use of the gym every Tuesday from 5:15 to 4:15. This is the tirst year we have had the use of the gym and a lot of girls took advantage of it by playing basket- ball and volley ball. The annual Heart Sister Week was held February 6-10. The informal initiation was held February 15. Then on Valentines Day we had our banquet and formal initiation at the Methodist Church. There were twenty-five new members. It was a big success and everyone enjoyed herself. This completed our activities in GAA. Every girl had a lot of fun, even if she did get bumps and bruises playing the different games. BACK ROXW: Vl.
