I l,'pon returning to their second year at M.T.H.S.. the class of Tm seemed to have lost yery' little of their zest and enthusiasm. In I-aet. during the past year. the record of the seventy'-nine sophomores would indicate that their elass is an active one. During the tirst te-w' months of sehool. the sophomores successfully' carried out sarious money'-making schemes which they had learned the year before. Their concession stand at a football game brought them dividends as did the sale of maga- zines. The sophomores were close rivals to the freshmen and went over the top in this ienture. no doubt because they overheard the seniors bemoaning the tact that their elass treasury' was at low' ebb. 'lhe football season saw' the sophomore boys on the tield playing and driving hard- some on the Varsity' and others on the junior Trojan team. Between halves of the games many' of the sophomores helped make the band and cadet team a sue' cess The bind would eertainly hue been at 1 loss without those musicians e e y tie hrst trum Net H 1 ie C A A benefited tl o trom the enthususm ine urticiution ot its s011O more members lhese girls were especially adept tt thinlsing up ideas tor the initit tion ot the new treshmen members The sophomore basketball team eretted mueh interest during this past yeir s se lsoll ind gixe promise ot good m1terial tor the y trsity team ot the near tuture Nlueh ot the yet tt the gimes w ls supplied by the sophomore member ot the eheer eieinf te 1 Debtting proyed to be a popular as well as 1 worthwhile aetnity tor the soph omores light 18ers went out tor debate and tallsed themselyes through 1 yery gooe setson Here is el iss A mtteritl tor future y trsity te tms Speeeh worls other than debating was also taleen up by some sophomores lheir oritions 1nd drtmitie re tdings merited the applause they reeeiy ed X iti two yeirs ot ex verienee behind them the eltss ot s str his two me e xetrs n w hieh to ehills up exen more honors KIANS Oll-IKIRS STLDPNT COI Nlll Bum Q Lhhf pne Une XXLSICYINKII Russell lxrenl yiee pres PHUIJ 5Il-ULU Albert Ioael see tre1s lm Brady jean Van htten ADX ISCIRS Penny f-yhef Nlrs Doenier Xlr lloenier lex 1rr I Is I , 1 III lllll Af H I I ' t ' ' ' t 3 ' f' f K .. -sp-- eiall l A I ' yltyer. 1 .s inlay. -I..
