The 1987-1988 school year was filled with students and staff involved in daily activities just for the fun of it. Although, at times, students were not ready to admit to the fun times had during class all would say life wasn't too bad. Fun times were had during dances and sports events. School began with new staff and a new arrangements for junior I high. Time passed quickly and it seemed only days until Christmas break arrived. Students returned in two weeks to prepare for semester exams. The second semester went by quickly and it was time to get ready for final exams. All these things helped students have a year of activities just for the fun of it . . . just for the thrill of it. 2

SPECIAL MRS. B. When writing about this lady, it was hard to know where to start, So, I went to all her friends, for thoughts from their hearts. When asked for just a few words to pull together for this, Most of them sent back a very long list. From all of the thoughts presented to me, Following are just a few describing Mrs. B. Love, dedication, inspiration, and sharing, A SUPER TEACHER , good friend, and above all, caring. She is trustworthy, dependable, gentle, yet tough, Everyone said she helps them when the going gets rough. You could count on her to bring us goodies to eat, Ray's carmel corn was always a special treat. Celia's talent for crafts and painting is hard to equal. Almost as soon as one is finished, she comes out with a sequel. Throughout the years, the students were her principle concern, She provided the knowledge, so they could all learn. The students will remember her fairness a long time from now. Her commitment to teaching, deserves from us, a big bow. Whenever a special prayer was needed, to her, you just had to call, Then, she would send it on a Hot Line to GOD. Through many years of dedication Mrs. Celia Beougher served the students and community of the Mendon-Umon district. Mrs. Beougher's talents were appreciated in many ways. The learning disabilities program got its start through the special efforts of Mrs Beogher. Her dedication and the love she gave to her students and colleagues will be missed for many years Everyone's lives she has touched through the years, We'll miss her laughter and kindness, with a few tears. Now the time has come for her to retire, and from the school part. But, we want her to know that for her, a spot will always be reserved in our hearts. By: Marty Heck 3
