Cooks: Vi Miller, and Dora Simpson Cooks: Sharon Hamilton and Glenda High Tantalizing aromas awaited students and staff as they entered the school in the morning. Dora and her staff treated those at Mendon-Union with special care. Students and staff could order special foods and the cafeteria staff accommodated each request. A special thank-you goes to the dedication of Dora and her staff. Bus driver: Kenny John Bus drivers: Larry Giese and Irene Thatcher A special cargo was carried to and from the Mendon-Union school by the bus drivers at Mendon. Kenny and his drivers transported the students to and from school with special care. Thank you to the drivers. Although not pictured, Elaine Steiner also carried her cargo with great care. Substitutes Mary Kill and Jane Barber filled in when the regulars were unable to drive. 8

The elementary years are where children lay the foundations of their education. Students learn the basics of reading, writing, and arithmatic. School isn't all books and no fun. Special activities such as Halloween dress-up day, math- athons, right-to-read activities and World Book readathon add to the excitement of elementary life. Elementary children prepare for the continuation of school during junior high. Students hard at work. Even Geography can be fun. Terri helps students with spelling. Elementary Good and evil I m almost done, how about you? I see you.
