On the job. Mrs. Maurer ... In the beginning. A bell opens a new year at Mendon-Unlon as it has done for many years. The lady responsible for the ringing of the traditional bell is Mrs. Maurer. Students over the many years look back on their high school careers with fondest memories of the lady who taught them all about English and William Shakespeare. Teachers and staff hold her in high regard. She not only teaches the subject matter, but she shows her students how to be productive, successful individuals. We owe Mrs. Maurer, a special lady, many thanks for her many years of unselfish dedication to her students and school. A special lady. 5 Hard at work.

1986 Clipper Staff Staff meets new challenges The 1986 Clipper yearbook staff took on a new experience this year. The staff had the challenge of designing each and every page themselves. Designing the yearbook pages meant greater creativity and self expression, but, it also meant spreading much more time and working much harder on a book that all of the Mendon community could be proud of. The staff consisted of fifteen students from the high school. Miss Julie Scott, the junior high language teacher, was the advisor for the 1986 book. She spent many hours after school to make sure all deadlines we've met and that the book stayed within the budget. The putting together of a yearbook takes much more time and effort than anyone can imagine. This book is a history of the 1985, 1986 school year and we on the Clipper staff hope you enjoy this addition of the Clipper yearbook. Enjoying themselves before the work begins 6 Herff Jones Rep Don Dickey
