The Freshmen Mainliner , the passenger plane belonging to Mendon High School, took off on it's first lap of a four year flight under the direction of Mr. Havens and the following crew: Pilot, Joyce Severns; Co-Pilot, Junior Clay; Chief Stewardess, Betty Archer; Assistant Stewardess, Ruth Wollam. The first stop of the year was at Edgevater Park for a skating party. Everyone had a good time and we took off again without any mishaps (except a few falls). Although we had to stop a couple of times for new passengers and a couple had to ball out for a different school, the year ran fairly smooth. We hope that not to many of our 17 passengers will get into a crack-up and leave us minus a few. 18

Twenty eight pupils began their career In Junior High School this year. We were not quite sure how we would like having 30 many teachers, but it was not long until we thought that it was entirely all right. 8 th. Twenty nine, eighth graders, a bit more sophisticated than we were last year, entered school on a sunshiny day in September to start our second year upstairs.
