T34 Candy Drive Mendel's annual fund-raiser, the Candy Drive, got off to a slow start but finished successfully on December 10. The school's quota of 520,000 was met, each student selling S60 worth of delicious chocolate candy. The three top salesmen were Ed Vaisvilas, George Herrera, and Jeff Jones. All three seniors won ten-speed bicycles. The top class salesmen were Kevin Barry, P. Polk, and Henry Foster. Each received either a radio or tape player. ABOVE: From the expressions on their faces, the thought of having to sell 560 worth of 'Moppets' and 'Crunch Bars,' means something different to each stu- dent. RIGHT: After helping distribute the candy, seniors ll. to r.l Bob Fabrizio, Joe Fiaoni, Jim Shue, and Jack Gavin take '5' to relax. ' V
