THE SANDSTORM 1941 Sunday School Sunday school IS one of the regular relrglous actmtnes at 'Vlenaul It ha been held throughout the year mth the exception of a few trmes when there haue been specxal serylces Our Sunday school IS one of the helpful services we have Every Sunday after noon we meet m the audltorrum for a worship servxce which IS conducted by the superintendent or one of the Sunday school classes After the worship servlce we go to classes which are arranged accordmg to grade and are taught by faculty members Classes last a half hour Students are given the opportunity to drscuss rellgrous oplcs and to talk about therr personal problems The supplres used ln Sunday school are provlded under the Youth Budget whrch was adopted this year Chapel Everyone attends chapel servlces held on Wednesday night rn the audltorlum when a rellgrous servlce rs held Chapel IS also held on Monday and Friday nights but on these nights we sometlmes have musical programs clubs or there may be outslde speakers who brlng us some subject of lnterest Un Tuesday and Thursday evenings the gurls have chapel or vespers rn e Annex or Old Brlclc lxvmg room lVllss Barber trres to have something of Interest or the girls along reltglous lines Cn these nights the boys have separate meetmgs wlth lVlr Donaldson ln e audrtorrum on Tuesday night and rn their dormrtorles on Thursday nlght wrth e matron or one of the monitors ln charge Chapel helps us students at Menaul to lead a Chrlstxan lrfe and also gives us an apprecxatron of the thmgs which surround us Gospel Team The work of the Gospel Team rs one of the most xmportant actrvltxes at lVlenaul School The Gospel Team rs an organization for boys and gurls who are xnterested rn the church and nts HCIIVIIICS and who desire to llve more like Christ By Jommg the Gospel Team they help spread the Gospel to others The requirements for membershlp are membership ln some evangelical church and a wllllng desire for Chrlstran service The organlzatlon has proved to be of great bene lit to many of those who have had contact with lt and to rts members It offers good trammg for Chrlstlan leadership and ln publrc speaking 9-J T Citi' as .- ,C ' ' ' th ' ' , ' . THE SANDSTORM 1941 RELIGIGUS ACTIVITIES ChflStlaH Endeavor We have several rellglous organlzatlons on our campus of which Chrlstlan Endeavor IS one greatly enjoyed by the student body The Chrxstlan Endeavor pro gram rs planned for the beneflt of young people The members carry on thelr own dlscusslons under the leadership of young people chosen from the group Maternal based on the toplc I5 given out to students m each group ln advance of meetmgs to promote thought for dlscusslon There are four groups which meet m different bunldmgs every Sunday mght Each Chrlstlan Endeavor group has a faculty sponsor officers and committees on music program social actrvltles and other work The sponsors for this year are Mrs H C Donaldson whose group meets m the Old Brlck Ilvmg room Mr R Vngrl whose group meets ln the Bennett Hall llvlng room Mlss Marlon Dutton whose group meets ln the Annex llvmg room and Mr H G Prescott whose group meets ln the Pierson Hall llvmg room Chrlstlan Endeavor IS a vxtal bullder of character and rellglous strength among the students at Menaul School Many of them take an actlve part ln Chrlstlan Endeavor actlvltles ln their communities dunng vacations and after graduatxon Page Thirty
