Find- ing the answer to this question is the object of the experiment being studied in physics class by Tony Brunner, Mary Ann Plagowski and Bruce Wogiko- ski. The fact that the rubber membrane stretched across the opening of the bell jar is push- ed into the jar when the air is drawn out of it proves that air does have weight.
