my mt pcd told again- Menasha takes over. ie lavs come for annual clash with Neenah, 12, Marfin Leads lays In Win Over New Landon Witli Ralph Martin scoring three touchdowns and playing brilliant foot- ball, Menasha easily defeated New London. Here Coach Calder viewed his team and found out most of the good and bad spots of the Blue Jays. Hildebrand and Denny Siar As lays Defeaf Kaus For the first time in I-i years Men' asha beat Kaukauna in one of the best games ever played on Butte des Morts field. Here Cal Hildebrand, outstanding fullback, played the iinest games of his high school career. but received a spine injury which kept him out all year. Another hero of the game was Reg Denny who kicked the two extra points to gain the victory. Reg broke his leg in the third quarter drive but we'll see him in there again next year fighting with the Blue Jays. Also much credit goes to lid Schaller who played an outstanding game all the way. Blue lays Defeaf Shawano I3-0 The Blue Jays looked good and bad in this game, but when the chips were down, they had just that little extra spark to gain their fourth straight game of the season. Both touchdowns came on Block's passes to Martin. Sam Wfinarski kicked the extra point. The NICOLET
Menasha Blue lays Trounce Algoma by Score of I9-6 In the only non-conference game of the season, Menasha trounced Algoma with the reserves playing most of the game, and the regulars going in spar- ingly to score. The Blue .lays scored two touchdowns on runs and one on passing. Truckers Win from lays In Second Half Drive One of the Hnest teams in Clinton- ville's history, determined to win their hrst N.l2,XV. championship, trounced Menasha 55 to 0. Wfith a tirst half score of 6 to 0, the Truckers started their second half drive, and after it was all over, Cilintonville, with Born and Fel- show leading the way, knocked the Jays out of title hopes. Chuck Block's Passes Tie fhe Score I2-I2 For the third time in the long history of their clashes, Menasha and Neenah hattled to a tie. Neenah came out with a hig team, outweighing the Jays 10 pounds per man. But the Blue Jays, playing their last game for Coach Calder, never gave up, which is typical of his teams. The highlight of the game came after Neenah was leading 12 to 6. Here the typical Calder spirit showed up, with defeat almost certain, and less than a minute to go, Menasha pulled the impossible.
